Udaan School for Experiential Learning, inaugurated on December 5, 2024, is a significant initiative that evolved from an Outpatient Department (OPD) for children with special needs at SGT University. Now operating as a full-fledged school under the RCI Guidance, Udaan is committed to providing a holistic and inclusive educational environment.
The school caters specifically to children with Visual Impairment (VI), Hearing Impairment (HI), and Intellectual Disability (ID), offering a wide array of specialised services designed to meet their unique needs. These services range from crucial early identification and intervention to various therapeutic approaches like occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physiotherapy, alongside psychological assessment and pre-vocational training. Udaan emphasises "experiential learning," suggesting a hands-on, practical approach to education that goes beyond traditional classroom settings.
A key aspect of Udaan's philosophy is its dedication to community engagement and parental empowerment. By organizing awareness programs and comprehensive parent training, the school aims to build a supportive ecosystem for children with special needs. The inauguration, graced with Special Olympics Games, highlights Udaan's commitment to promoting sportsmanship, inclusion, and celebrating the abilities of its students and those from other special schools. Udaan School for Experiential Learning stands as a beacon of inclusive education, striving to unlock the full potential of every child it serves.

As a parent of a special needs child, you're always on edge. But when I drop my kid off at Udaan, I can finally breathe. I know he’s safe, he’s loved, and he’s actually learning
My daughter is learning how to be more independent and do things for herself. It gives me so much hope for her future.
At his old school, he was just 'the kid with ASD.' At Udaan, he’s a kid who is great at art and loves building things. They see the whole child, not just the label.
